Queen Of The South and Chill

I know I'm not alone when I say I binge watch shows more often than I should, but when I find a series as great as The Queen of the South I can't help but watch a whole season...in one sitting, ya know? Especially when season two is currently on USA. If you haven't already heard of USA Network's show let me quickly fill you in. The show follows Teresa Mendoza, a women who falls in love with cartel bad boy Güero and later finds herself running for her life after his sudden death. Soon after she is taken to Dallas, Texas, where she becomes the hostage of a large cartel and is forced to enter into illegal business.

SHOP MY RECENTLY BOUGHT Pieces

Ruffles on Ruffles

Ruffles have gotten a major fashion makeover in the past year. With top designers like Miu Miu, Marni, Marc Jacobs, Simone Rocha, and more showing pieces with exaggerated ruffles, voluminous frills, and structured flounce, the frilly ruffle is a thing of the past. So whats the trick to pulling off the child like style? Making the ruffle the focal point of the entire outfit, and making sure it's structured and dramatic!  Cue the structured ruffle skirt! Boasting a level of sophistication that brings it into adult territory a ruffle structured skirt is by far my favorite way to pull off the trend. I found the one I'm wearing at a Bloomingdales sale a few weeks back.

Why I’m hitting the pause button + Free Movie Tickets!

While my streaming queue is currently full with shows like The Handmaid's Tale, Bloodline and a few other favorites, I'm hitting the pause button and making my way to the theater to watch The Book of Henry. The summer blockbuster follows single suburban mother Susan Carpenter (Naomi Watts) and her two sons Peter and child prodigy Henry. Henry is protector to his adoring younger brother and tireless supporter of his often self-doubting mother – and, through investments, of the family as a whole – Henry blazes through the days like a comet. Susan discovers that the family next door, which includes Henry’s kind classmate Christina (Maddie Ziegler), has a dangerous secret – and that Henry has devised a surprising plan to help. As his brainstormed rescue plan for Christina takes shape in thrilling ways, Susan finds herself at the center of it.
