Bring a petite girl comes with many wardrobe challenges, but the most common one is battling length. At 5’1 I’m no stranger to hemming my dresses, jeans and even my tops sometimes. While it may not seem like such a big deal, it’s actually really annoying and expensive! At times it even limits my buying options, especially with jeans and long dresses. For example if a dress has a beautiful embellished or printed bottom I can’t purchase it. You see, when I hem them dress to the correct length I’ll loose the beautiful part of the dress #annoying and on top of the cost of the dress I have to pay the seamstress #expensive.

So when frayed jeans became popular you could imagine my horror! There was no great way of hemming my denim without loosing the “pretty part.” The worst thing was I absolutely love this trend and I couldn’t wait to get a pair! And while most girls on the shorter side can wear petite collections I can’t since my legs are short! So imagine my excitement when I found this cropped version under $35! Seriously… I danced and ran straight to the dressing room. While this version might fit taller women as “cropped” these babies fit us shorties full length! They are also high waisted and super comfy! And since I’ve been sporting them non-stop since I got them, this week I’m going to share three different ways to rock them according to your style!

An embellished lace top and frayed ripped jeans is the way to go for the feminine gal. In a beautiful rosy pink the embellished lace top adds classic romance to the stylish denim, while pairing the outfit with clear heels gives it a modern spin. The top is also under $35 and such great quality. I’m wearing a size small in both pieces for sizing reference. Soft curls and a dark nude lip finish off the look.

Love always, Laura B.

What to wear on a first date for low Key Cocktails and dinner

When it comes to charming the opposite sex there is no play book, but wearing the perfect first date outfit always helps! Formulating the perfect date ensemble is always tricky. You want to look sexy and on-trend, but refrain from appearing too fashion-forward. You also don’t want to seem too risqué but wearing a grandma approved outfit is also out of the question. So what’s a girl to wear? THIS bodysuit!

Making a bangin’ first date impression is possible in this stealthy hot lace bodysuit! The lace screams sex-appeal yet the long sleeves say conservative and pairing it with high waisted black pants allows you to show just enough skin. If you want to show off your legs, rock the bodysuit with a black mini but make sure to add a jacket over your shoulders to avoid baring too much. As for shoes I love a sleek stiletto for a first date where you’ll be sipping on cocktails. My drink of choice on a first date is a gin and tonic. It’s light, refreshing and (nearly) impossible for the bartender to mess up. No guy likes a girl who complains about her drink on the first date! Trust me I know 😉

On a personal note: I had such a great weekend with Greg! We spent Saturday walking the Hollywood beach boardwalk and found this really chill restaurant called Sahara with great menu deals! We had a large pizza and two pitchers of beer for $20! Tonight we are heading to Wynwood for dinner and drinks before the heat game.
