Black and White romper – How to wear the layered trend

While the the layered tank-over-T-shirt trend has made a huge comeback and looks fabulous on many girls, it’s not a trend I’d personally rock. Wearing a T-shirt over a tank seems more rock & roll and while I might sport it at a rock & roll concert, I rather layer my pieces with a classic white collared top.

Today’s outfit of the day is exactly that! A white collared long sleeve blouse under a black short romper. What I love most about this romper, besides it flattering my back side, is that it incorporates the trend in a classic way. Plus there is no need to go out and try to find two pieces that compliment each other. The work is all done for you in this one piece romper. I kept the look sleek and classic with patent leather red bottoms and a patent leather purse. I added a bold red lip to add more color and messy beach waves to soften the look up.

On a personal note: Happy Halloween Babes! I can’t believe it’s already the last day of October. This month really flew by for me! The good news is tomorrow is November first and that means my birthday is exactly 30 days away (Nov. 30)! I’ll be turning 25 this year and it seems pretty crazy to me. It feels as if I just turned 21 and could legally drink a beer, a blue moon to be exact (extra orange slice please!) Anyways, I think I want to celebrate with a birthday party this year since 25 is a pretty significant age…I mean hello quarter of a century!

Love always, Laura B.
