How was everyone’s NYE? Mine was definitely on the quieter side. Greg and I stayed home and I’ll admit I fell asleep at 11:30ish. But I was able to reflect on potential resolutions for the new year and one of them is dressing more “edgy”. If you flip through my outfits you’ll see they are a mix of trendy and classics. So this year I am making it a point to push myself to try edgier outfits and try to style the more on trend pieces like these shoes I just ordered! As a result my first look of the year is this edgy cold shoulder dress (less than $40).

The initial attraction came from the length of the dress. I always love a midi length since I find that it makes me look taller. (Contrary to popular belief) But what sold me on the dress was the bold romantic flower print. Since I would typically never go for such a dark and busy pattern I decided to take the dress home with me and style as the first edgy outfit of 2017. I thought the midi dress would be perfect to pair with these on trend booties that I absolutely love for style and comfort. Plus they come in a ton of colors, blue, burgundy, cheetah! To finish off the look I accessorized by layering this velvet choker and this layered choker! Which I can’t stop wearing together now, because like soooo cute! Right?!?!

Anyway I ended up loving this flower print dress and I’m planning on wearing it to brunch this Sunday! The look is seriously so perfect for the winter months in Miami and the upcoming spring since it’s a mix of florals and booties.

Love always, Laura B.
