Bateaux Dubai Dinner Cruise
I’m officially back from Dubai and thankfully without any jet lag. Which is crazy weird considering the 16 hour non-stop flight and 8 hour time difference between Miami and Dubai.
Anyway, today I’m sharing my first look from my trip, which I actually wore twice! The first time I wore this outfit was to the Bateaux Dubai Dinner Cruise. Although Dubai is considered modern when it comes to dressing in the middle east, the boat staff sent over a dress code that mentioned to dress smart and conservative. So I thought I’d play it safe with a modest, yet fashion forward matching set. The set, which is currently on sale, ended up being the perfect outfit for cruising the Dubai creek since it got chilly on the boat. Speaking about the boat, I highly, highly recommend making dinner reservations on the Bateaux. It’s by far one of the best dinners I’ve ever had, I wish I could have their molten brownie every night.
The second time I wore this look was to have drinks at the Sofitel with a friend from Dubai, we later headed to the Billionaire’s Mansion. The dress code at both these locations was way more relaxed in the modest aspect. But don’t let that fool you, in Dubai you have to dress to impress to get into the night life scene. Sneakers for women is a big no no and most men wear long sleeve shirts at night. I’ll be sharing my tips on what to wear and not wear in Dubai these next few weeks!
Love always, Laura B.
